Xmas Party 2002

Went to the Knightdale EMS (KEMS) Christmas party last night at The Peddler Steak House on Glenwood Avenue. While there was a noticeable tension in the room due to it being mere days prior to this year's elections, I had a good time, as did, I believe, everyone else.

Donna and I both had the prime rib (medium rare). It was cooked to perfection, and probably one of the best steaks I've had (certainly significantly better than those served at Sam's Steak House last year). Oh, and the horseradish was excellent! Take your breath away kind of stuff!

I got a gag gift for taking up deer hunting this year, a cool magnetically stabilized pen from Ralph for service on the board, and got Shania Twain's new album Up! in the dirty santa game.

After the party, a group of us went to The Longbranch. And while I normally enjoy outings there, I was both tired (from working the night before), and bored (from listening to all the thump music on the 'dance' side). And that's all I have to say about that.

All in all though, it was a good evening.
